Hello all,
Let's hope I don't get banned for using such a lame title. LOL I have been participating here for a couple of weeks and thought I should introduce myself. Not that there is anything exciting to report, but hey. I am located in northern Indiana, just a splash below the Michigan border. If you know where Notre Dame is, I am right down the road. I am 36 years old and have a lovely wife and two kiddos. I am using my 5 year old son as an excuse to buy tons of 25th figures, but I don't think my wife believes me. Of course he is a year or two away from really getting into them, but that is beside the point. Right now he is happy accompanying dear ol' dad to TRU and Target where I scavenge the action figure aisles while he looks at the Bakugans and Transformers. While Joes (or more specifically, COBRAs) are my current passion, I also enjoy grabbing cool Imperial SW figs, as well as the occasional odd figure (Iron Man, McFarlane, etc.). When I am not busy dragging my son on fruitless Joe searches, I am usually hunkered down in my computer room working on my aquariums or trying to figure out how to display my figures. Any good display ideas out there? I don't have much room, and want something that exudes coolness. Perhaps that is a thread for another time. Okay, enough blabbing from the basement. Thanks for this wonderful site, and for the posters that make it great. Between you and BBTS, my credit card has had quite a workout. Keep those breaking BBTS newsflashes coming! Any questions...fire away! Happy Hunting! Dave |

Welcome to the 'Tank. I'm sure you'll continue to enjoy it as we all have.
Now, seeing how you're from Indiana (I'm in blomington myself), its time for a (shameless) plug; get yourself over to www.johio.org. We are a "local" group that helps each other out with finding figs and just general discussion about gi joe |

Welcome, dude... I wish my dad was as into toys as you are when I was five...
as for displays, trying searching around for IKEA displays on here, some people have put up some pretty sweet setups.

Sorry, I'm English and we're expected to talk like that (just look at Buzzer in the GI JOE cartoon!) , even though very few of us actually do!
