my favorite comic of all time! damn shame. had the pleasure of meeting him about 8 years ago at a restaurant worked at; just a kick ass, friendly, warm guy. I didn't wait on him, but he sent my buddy who did his stand up collection on cd's and a couple of dvd's.

I can't believe this. He is a comic legend great gone too soon. Carlin made sense of the world that never made sense. Rest in peace.

Holy crap! Carlin, Winston, and Russert, Ive always heard celebs died in threes, but what a horrible month for the entertainment world!
This is another man I grew up watching (most times behind my parents back, not getting half of his jokes at that time). When I worked for NBC, we used to run some late night Saturday Night Lives, and they were from the first few seasons, and Carlin was on it a few times. Such a great comedian, ahead of his time even. Truly another tragic loss :(

That sucks...
I can only hope he's gone to a better place where "batting averages are way up, and minigolf scores are way down" and where "the streets are clean, the air is clean... even the dirt is clean" He will be missed, he was not only a great comedian but a part of my childhood thanks to Shining Time Station and Bill and Tedd. |
