I would like to extend an open invitation to all Sgt. Rock fans on the tank to join this new group, dedicated to our mutual appreciation of Sgt. Rock.

I was just thinking about the Sarge last night........Hasbro made the 12" of him back in the 90s, it would be cool if we got a 4" version of him too.

Wouldn't he fall more under the Mattel DC banner?

I dunno? his toys were Remco, Remco is now defunct. I just liked the comics and the long ago discontinued toys, and am looking for other Sgt. Rock fans on the tank.

Sgt. Rock might be the best War comic ever produced by the "Big Two." The DC War books as a general rule were superior to their Marvel counterparts, but Rock's stuff was almost always top notch.
Has anyone read Bill Tucci's Rock miniseries from a few years ago The Lost Battallion? It's based on a true series of events in the French countryside during the last bit of the war and it's really a well developed and presented story. Tucci did a ton of research with actual veterans of the fight and even took part in a re-enactment... playing the role of a newspaper cartoonist, ironically. The Showcase volumes of Rock are really sweet as well... the black and white really adds some grim moodiness...
