I went with a Parasite, Snow Cat & Sebulba's Pod Racer. Made it a fighter/shuttle. I'm still working on it little by little. I suppose the new Y-Wing Scout Bomber could be used too. Last edited by Steelgrave; 11-05-2011 at 01:51 AM.. |

I really wish they had just continued with the line, that way we would have a few more years worth of product to collect. If the line was good enough to restart just a few years later, why pull the plug to begin with? Quote:

Yup! Here's one from that magazine! Clearly, Yo Joe has the goods. I knew someone would know. Did this ever come to be in any other form? Cool vehicle. Also, I agree with the others - This line might've revitalized Joe at the time, brought it back to earth (literally). While I like the Star Brigade stuff as toys, and cherish my Lunartix figs, this just seems totally rocking. Good call on making a convention exclusive in the future! I would freakin LOVE to get that Striker now. With a slight repaint it would make an awesome Moon rover. If they already had the molds & the tooling made they could released it now as a part of 30th or Retaliation. That would've been better than the Vamp II repaint we just got or the stupid red HISS V. I think it's stupid that every Cobra vehicle has to have a crimson repaint. Just like every Optimus Prime has to have white & black repaints. I guess I could make my own by tearing up an AWE Striker. But I kinda sorta already did that. Last edited by Steelgrave; 11-05-2011 at 03:59 AM.. |

I think that if released, this then new incarnation of Gi Joe would have saved the line in some regard. When ARAH died and S6, JvC and VvV took over, the Gi Joe brand declined even further. Fast forward to today when few retailers will carry joes and others may have them, sell them and never restock. This brings on several other issues such as scalpers (oops, I mean opportunistic collectors), ebay price hikes, etc.
If ARAH would have continued into Battle Corps Rangers (assuming they moved completely away from needle-in-the-eyes colors of the early 90's) and used it as a launch pad from which to produce new vehicles with quality comparable or better than original ARAH and new figures along with them. This may have kept interest in joes alive enough to reach today where maybe we could actually go into a Walmart, TRU, etc., and find more than a peg or two of joes. As a side note, I can't help but scratch my head in wonder when I go into a Walmart and see a joe or two sitting on the same peg for weeks while the o-ring Adventure Series figures and vehicles are constantly selling and being restocked. Perhaps the change from simple o-ring to super-articulated fancy sculpts have turned children off? I digress. |

Are you talking about those 3 3/4 hunting and fishing figures, or something else that I've missed?

Yeah, the hunting, fishing and motorcycle/quad riders. Includes the seaplane, humvee, pickup truck, boat, etc.

I'm always on the hunt for different O-ring lines, just making sure there wasn't one that I missed.

We had some of the Battle Rangers art and unproduced Star Brigade art and at the Joe Declassified booth at this past Joe Con.
I couldn't take my eyes off it. It was definitely the highlight of my booth experience this year, seeing all that stuff from 94-95. The unrealized trickle at the end of the an era.

There was a proto of that Stardate 92 on ebay a year or so ago. I think I saved the pics from ebay. If anyone wants to see them I'll look for them (They're on a seperate portable HD)
