Personally I like the 84 series. Not just because it's the year I was born. We got Storm Shadow, Zartan and Firefly. Enough said!

1984.
Firefly. Recondo. Spirit. Roadblock. Mutt and Junkyard. Zartan. Baroness. Storm Shadow. Some epic and timeless characters right there. There's never been a greater year to me. The 25th classics line brought back some of the magic. But nothing has ever touched or surpassed it. I hate to say it for the future and longetivity of the brand, but I'm convinced nothing ever will. No.

1986 all the way for me! I was full swing into Joe and Serpentor, Zandar, Zarana, Beachhead, Mindbender, and Sgt Slaughter made it for me. The combo of toys and cartoons were way too awesome for an 8 year old at the time

There were a few years that really stood out. But for me, the best overall year was 1983 - Airborne, Gung Ho, Doc, Torpedo, Snow Job, Tripwire, Cover Girl, Ace, Wild Bill, Destro, Major Bludd, HISS Driver and mail-away Duke!
