even cooler is when you take the OP's idea and add to it by stacking another HQ on top. You can modify the bottom center piece to extend out abut, and make it look more like in the cartoon. I did it once, but I didn't take pics. Now all my stuff is in storage, or I would do it again.

In the 2-part short toy animated “G.I. Joe: Invasion of Cobra Island” videos released a few years back around the time ROC was in theaters, there’s a custom 2-level GI Joe Headquarters Command Center. While looking around to see if I could find a better view of it or other any similar customs, I came across this old thread. I’ve been gathering some parts lots to try and build a larger HCC myself. Anyone else have ideas for this?

The only other ideas I’ve heard is to incorporate the TTBP into the HCC. I think what the person did was to extend the legs of the BP and put it in the middle of the HQ. I don’t know if I ever tried it and my BP is in storage right now anyway.

You could also maybe integrate the 1992 Headquarters if you were feeling really ambitious. I’ve also been fantasizing about some enterprising customizer/designer either building and selling upgrade kits for things like the HCC, TTBP, or even the USS Flagg; or even putting out modular base sets in various styles that could be purchased individually and assembled in a variety of manners for display or play scenarios. With Raginspoons’ Complex Base Building Sytem and various other 1:18 scale third party offerings in the echoing void of Hasbro Joe releases, I wonder how close we are to something like this? Marauder and Boss Fight are killing it in the action figure department along with several other honorable mentions. Hole in the Ground Productions and Wayward Goat Collectibles are in pre-production for similar crowd-funding platforms to sell diorama accessories and a modular vehicle, respectively. If only someone could step up to make improvement kits for existing Joe products... Yeah, I know - that would be a very specific (aka, financially risky) niche to fill, and there are some stuff you can find in places like Shapeways, but just think of how many classic playsets and vehicles are screaming to be improved...
