Hey All,
Working on a Killer WHALE restoration and I need to clean off the old, nappy, "applied-by-a-kid-in-1985" decals so's I can slap on the new sheets I got from Cobra Stickers. So how do I get the old decals off without wounding the plastic? Any sage guidance appreciated. DUB |

Hot water on a cloth, without burning yourself apply medium pressure against the decal back and forth to remove...

Goo Gone is ok...not sure about what it does to the plastic. But you can use WD-40 and peal the sticker off best you can and then spray WD-40 on the area and it should come right off with some clean up. Works really well on old stickers that are decayed, just let it soak in. Perfectly safe for the plastic.

Lighter fluid, and a match.

I use Goo Gone on my stuff. Comes off fine. Make sure you apply it to the cloth, NOT the media. It provides better drip control and keeps the Goo Gone in one place.
