I will vouch for him, they are absolutely great. I use them exclusively on my vehicle collection, which is 100% either straight from the box or bought with unapplied stickers. I hate the old stickers - even when you get them on the sheet 99% of the time they're all gooey and gross. The only difference between Ruben's stickers and the originals is that they're brighter and cleaner looking, so the vehicle actually looks BETTER with them than the originals.
The guy who's redoing all the pictures for the Yojoe archives used them for his pics. I haven't used Cobrastickers, but I'm sure they are also great after reading what other Tankers thought of them, but heck, I think you can get a complete set of Flagg repro stickers from Ruben for 1/4-1/3rd of the price they're asking. Pre-cut is nice and all, but if it takes me an hour to carefully cut out Ruben's stickers (I use an x-acto whenever possible), well heck, that's more than a fair trade-off as far as I'm concerned to save $75.

I'll second DPrime's recommendation of J Ruben. The man makes great stickers, I've ordered from him a few times now.
I've also ordered from Cobra Stickers and I can safely tell you that Cobra Stickers and J Ruben are the two best repro sticker makers out there |

I'd stick with Cobrastickers, unless you like making/risking a long distance relationship with a guy via paypal and email...I like the upfront full on website store capabilities of Cobrastickers plus they are sponsered by Hisstank, that says a lot from a customizing stand point.

I will probably go with cobra stickers. I don't have much skill at cutting things in a straign line, and would hate to mess up. I think it is worth the convenience. I'll email them and if they cant get one made in the next couple weeks I'll go the cheaper more dificult rout. Really i'm going to have a time getting all the old stickers off and cleaning it up. I'm going to start looking up methods for doing that. I've never had to strip stickers before.

Goo gone works well. Stripped a horrible sticker job on one of my skystrikers, was still minty white afterwards, no marring/burning.

Thanks for the tip. I just got back from dropping of my Secret Santa present. Derek was reading this board before he left his house to meet me, I still had it in the back of my car.
Just told the wife about it..... and she didn't kill me. She was actually laughing at how happy I was, and said Merry Xmas. woot. I'm not allowed to lay it out and get pictures till she is in bed though. |

I did the exact same thing The Skystriker I was working with looked yellow from all the cruddy sticker residue, after some Goo Gone and a lot of elbow grease, it was nice and minty looking
