This is driving me nuts. I'm looking for vintage vehicles on ebay. They're always listed as 100% complete but when you look at the auction the figure isn't included. How the hell can people say the vehicle is 100% complete when it's missing an important part that it originally came with. Why do Joe collectors think it's okay to keep the figure & then try to pass off the vehicle as complete? What if somebody trusts the seller, buys it & then afterwards finds out that it originally came with a figure & he/she just got screwed? If a vehicle originally came with a figure it is not 100% complete without the figure.

Look who's in the four digits now!
May be a matter of perspective. I have noticed that many Joe collectors seem to regard vehicles and their respective drivers as separate entities, like listing Serpentor complete if he has his cape, dagger, hood and snake but not the Air Chariot.

Yeah, you gotta be specific about that, when in the trading/buying process I mean. Ask questions if you're unsure when making a deal.
There is by no means a concensus on this issue, so it's just something you have to be aware of. There's probably nothing insidious on the part of a seller when he lists a vehicle as "complete" without the driver. Enough collectors "separate" figures and vehicles in their minds that it's fairly widespread. It's never come up with me during a trade or whatever, but not that I think of it, I would probably consider a vehicle "complete" without its driver, and certainly vice-versa.

yeah. it's about perspective. A Havoc can be 100% without cross country. it's not like anyone would miss him. He isn't the only one who can drive it.

You should carefully scrutinize auctions when buying off eBay, but the way I see it, a vehicle is complete without the driver.

Well in my b/s/t I consider complete to mean with the driver. IF I list a vehicle with no driver I state that.
I agree with Steelgrave. 100% Complete means withthe driver. |

With a driver or with "the" driver? Supposed I have the original 1988 tiger rat and the target tiger rat from last year and i decide to sell it with skystriker instead of wild bill. Does that make it any less complete?

I'm okay with no drivers because I usually use 25th figures in vintage vehicles. That said, it's not 100% without the driver. Especially the more expensive pieces like the Skystriker and Raven on up to the Flagg and the Defiant: Those drivers are a little tough to find!
