I use Goo Gone and then wash with warm soapy water after the Goo Gone does it’s work and the label has been peeled off. It’s the best method I have found.

I've just peeled them off with rubbing alcohol. And use the rubbing alcohol to wipe away the adhesive residue.

I also use Goo Gone. Remove any of the sticker that will come off easily, then wipe with Goo Gone until the residue is gone, finally swab the area with water.

I use lighter fluid, if you peel the sticker away carefully you can even clean it with some more lighter fluid and reattatch it with clear uhu stick. I have noticed on some A.W.E Strikers that the stickers and residu come off easy but the image of the sticker is imprinted in the plastic and even remains visible after a couple of layers of paint.

I use a q tip dipped in baby oil. Once the decals are off I rub the a tip into the area for a min or two, then get the rest off with a cuticle scrapper. (Just make sure you use a flat cuticle scrapper, some are curved). With a light touch and the oil on the surface you’ll get it all off without a scratch. Then remove the oil with some detergent and warm water using a soft tooth brush, (Dawn is best) then spray with Windex and wipe clean with a rag or paper towel,( ammonia is a great degreaser) then hit it again with detergent and warm water to get the ammonia off of there. The great part is if you miss any adhesive the Windex will make it turn white when it dries so you’ll see it. In which case just repeat the process.

Man, I simply use WD-40. It loosens the glue right up. Plus, there's not risk of melting the plastic from solvents.

sand paper. #thuglife
No, please don't use sand paper. I typically go with goo gone (the less harsh chemicals, the better). If that doesn't work, I go with lighter fluid (but only when I have to; Plastic is old and unforgiving). |
