Hey guys,
Was lucky this week and found a good deal on a near complete Defiant. It's pretty dusty and dirty, and I want to give it a good scrubbing. I was able to get the shuttle apart with no issues by unscrewing the body sections. I'm thinking the booster will also unscrew and come apart easily. My challenge is the crawler. I saw a few posts about taking the gantry doors off. The rods on mine seem really tight. I was thinking of using baby oil on the to help them slide out easier. Also are there any guides / tricks for taking apart the bay for the shuttle from the base of the crawler? Thanks. |

Guys, quick update. I had no trouble getting the booster apart. Now I just need to figure out how to tackle the crawler.

The rods are tricky. One of mine came right out, the other not so much. It really doe make the crawler more manageable. I put mine in the bathtub to wash.
