Hello,
Just signed up. This appears to be an appropriate forum for this question? This was my sons when he was little and I put the figure aside years ago to repair him. Now that he's grown we've pulled out the collection I realize I've lost his legs! I have the upper body and waist. I'm attaching a pic of the figure we have. I believe this is the original 1986 cobra viper. Also, I've scoured Ebay and reached out some sellers offering this kind of stuff. Anyone else know of a good source that might have a set of legs for sale? |

That is indeed an '86 Viper. The legs shouldn't be too hard to find, he's a popular figure due to being a trooper (army or troop building is big in this hobby), but parts for it do pop up on eBay frequently, as these are also fairly common figures. A good set of legs should set you back $5-7 somewhere. Ebay is definitely the surest bet.
His gear might set you back a bit more though- expect to pay $20-25 if you need the rifle and backpack. Good luck!

That is an original 1986 Viper. You will need the crotch AND legs to complete the figure.

ONESTOPJOESHOP.COM often has a ton of parts and usually has deals going on.

You will need to be able to unscrew the screw in his back. Make sure it's not rusted and that you are able to remove it. If the screw is rusted out and can't be removed, you're better off buying a complete 1986 Viper and just replace the figure completely as you need to be able to take apart te figure to give him new legs and waist piece. Rubber band probably snapped too for the legs to fall off so probably need to replace that too.

Thanks for the info. everyone! I didn't expect much of a response. I'll keep checking those sites already mentioned and I've set a saved search on Ebay. Hopefully in the near future I'll get lucky and get this poor fellow another set of legs! If anyone else has any suggestions, please let me know! Thanks again!
