What does your top 10 of worst G.I.Joe figures look like? "Best" or "favorite" lists are common, but how about the opposite..... Ugly colour schemes may come to mind first, but you can also think of playability, action features, military purposes and maybe even realism to a certain point (as far as you like that to go in this toy verse).
I got the idea because of this video: [youtube] |

- Deep Six '84: the line is known for its articulation, a lack of it doesn't provide much playability.
- Gung-Ho '87: V1 was an awesome Marine. In a ceremonial suit looks nice, but had absolutely no play value for me. - Rapid Fire '90: Super Trooper was on the edge of acceptability for me, but now in neon.... - B.A.T. '91: nice mold, but that neon.... - Toxo-Zombie '92: I don't like zombies. - Destro '92: ugly head. - Muskrat '93: helmet rocket launcher. 'Nuff said. - Star Brigade '93: the big robo-suit guys. Too clunky, though they gave us a few cool new headsculpts. - Banzaï + Night Creeper Leader '93: ninjas don't wear pink. - Shadow Ninjas '94: translucent-ish figures? Nope, not my thing. |

I'm assuming you mean from 82-94, because post 1994 i could give you a top 100 list, easy. Anyway, here is my list of top 10 worst figures:
10.'82 Flash - A Straight armed fragile figure that just looks goofy to me 9. '93 Slice - Why would a ninja wear bright orange? 8. '93 Star Brigade robots - All of them fragile with limited movement 7. '91 Flint - As if the bright green isn't bad enough, the head sculpt is terrible 6. '85 Listen Trip Wire - An easy target in those colors 5. '91 Psych Out - The worst version of a figure no-one likes 4. '90 Rapid Fire - Way to take a terrible Super Trooper figure and make him even worse 3. 84 Deep Six - Hard to believe this is an 80's figure and not a 1940's figure 2. Golobulus - The figure can't stand, sit,or fit into a vehicle 1. Windmill - Just the absolute worst Dishonorable mentions - Sneak Peek, '87 Avalanche, Wild Boar, '92 Firefly, '93 Scarlett, '93 Long Arm, & '93 Cross Country |

Difficult question! Honestly I can't find ten, I can only say not to try too much "sympathy" for figures without charisma like Armadillo v1 or Wild Card v1, or those fluorescent like Eco Warriors. This is my best.

Instead of 10, since it's easy to dump on the latter years like Toy Galaxy, I'll just do worst by year.
1982: Grand Slam, because they didn't recolor the hair to make him different from Grunt. 1983: Ace, weird design...looks like has underoos on. 1984: Deep Six V1 (even accepting why he was made like that, his arms still get loose and are useless without the ability to hold anything) 1985: Bazooka, not crazy about the jersey and he's dumpy looking overall. 1986: Cross Country 1987: Golobulus for not being able to stand or do much of anything. 1988: Armadillo, other losers from this year could be recolored into decent figures, but Armadillo really can't. 1989: Dee-Jay 1990: Major Storm for his big head 1991: Super Sonic Fighters Roadpig 1992: Storm Shadow (Yeah, why him? The lack of waist movement and both arms are spring loaded) 1993: Armor Tech Destro (i do like the bubble helmet) 1994: Shadow Ninja...let's say Snake-Eyes. |

While Ice Cream Soldier might make a lot of lists of worst figure... for me the 1993 Battle Corps Law V3 is hands down the worst figure.

Sigh. Like the vehicles, GI Joe is so awesome, and so awesomely bad.
In no order: 1. Cross country. I am not "offended" or even the least bit disturbed by the confederate flag, but the weird socks really bother me. 2. Sneak peek. You are a recon guy wearing bright red? 3. Cobra La. Because 4. BF 2000. I don't get it. 5. Rapid Fire. Fast attack expert, whatever that it is, sort of sounds like shock troops like Marines or Rangers, and he operates deep behind enemy lines wearing lime green? 6. The eco warriors. 7. RnR v3. From awesome to stupid in one version. 8. Saw Viper. Machine gunners stick out enough. The last thing you want to do is wear a garrish costume, sorry uniform that distinguishes you from the crunchies. don't get me wrong, cool uniform for an 80s themed dance party, but not so much for ground combat ops. 9. Snow storm v1. He should be renamed Creamcicle. Still a cold themed name but more appropriate. 10. 5POA CC pack in. |

He always struck me as a figure that was originally sculpted as someone else - but then slapped with the 'Law' name for some reason. The sculpt is actually pretty cool - for an Alley Viper maybe.

A top ten is really hard for me. In terms of figures not mentioned so far, Wild Boar has to be among them simply because his helmet doesn't even fit properly. Add to that the dumb and nonsensical arm tube and his just generally all-round goofy look he's just an all-round bad figure.
Other figures you have to class as "objectively bad" are Windmill and Armadillo as previously mentioned, as they are both the deadly combination of dull and dumb. No redeeming features at all. I personally really hate Heli-Viper as well. His colour scheme just looks bad and it mashes together two of my favourite Cobras in Snow Serpent and Night Viper and makes an unholy mess out of both of them. |
