After finally getting everything I need to finish my Flagg, Defiant, Terrordrome and Whale, I have cleaned them all and ready to put labels on them. I've never used repro labels before and I know Toyhax is a popular choice but I have also seen a user on eBay named wormyworms. Has anyone used his labels? Are they the same or better or worse quality as Toyhax? Thanks!

wormyworms is okay, his stuff is basically a direct copy of the vintage label sheets where as ToyHax is more custom based.

I'll throw in a 3rd option, rattlerrepros... aka JRuben from Mexico.

Here's my breakdown of pros and cons of each maker.

ToyHax:

Pros: Very high quality decals. Custom decals enhance what Hasbro missed. Pre-cut. About a week or so on shipping (for me in the US)

Cons: Expensive. Some of the decals are not cut out enough and can rip when trying to apply. Not every vehicle is available.

wormyworms:

Pros: Pre-cut. Sells on eBay so you have their protection if anything goes wrong. Cost is lower than ToyHax.

Cons: Not as brilliant as RattlerRepros or ToyHax. I've had some slower than normal shipping, especially around the holidays.

RattlerRepros:

Pros: Very nice and bright decals. Costs cannot be beat. Good inventory.

Cons: Not pre-cut. This can be a pro or con depending on who you talk to, I personally don't mind cutting them out myself if it saves me money. Ships from Mexico so with customs, it can take over a month to receive your decals.

Ok, since you've specifically mentioned the Flagg, I'll chime in here. I've bought repro stickers from both Toyhax and RattlerRepros. I agree with everything Xerofall has said, and will also add this Specifically regarding the U.S.S. Flagg:

Toyhax: Cons: The stickers are printed on two different kinds of adhesive paper. So the Deck Stickers are a different kind of vinyl adhesive paper than the Tower Stickers. Personally, I was a little disappointed in the quality of the Deck Stickers.

The pre-cut Deck Elevator Stickers are/were (not sure if they've fixed it) labeled backwards on their sticker placement diagram, and the pre-cut shape is a little off.

Also, one thing I've ran into with Toyhax vs. Rattlerrepros is that Toyhax seems to use a thicker mil adhesive vinyl. This can pose some problems when applying decals to contoured surfaces. Usually, I heat the sticker with a blowdryer to help the vinyl conform to the surface better.

I've honestly thought about ripping my Deck Stickers back off and just ordering a sheet of Deck Stickers from Rattlerrepros.

Not to look like I'm just totally dogging on Toyhax, I've ordered stickers from them many times and the only stickers I've been disappointed in are the Flagg Deck Stickers. If you have the Terror Drome, I highly recommend their custom (chrome) computer screen stickers!

Now, on to Rattlerepros:

Con: Depending on how you look at it, the biggest Con is that they are not pre-cut. However, this only poses a problem if you don't want to take the time to cut the stickers yourself. I can honestly say that with the U.S.S. Flagg, I would not have wanted to cut out all those stickers for the Tower, but I wouldn't mind cutting the Deck stickers.

The only other Con I have with Rattlerrepros is the shipping time, but this isn't something he has control over. Rattlerrepros ships in a timely manner, but since he ships out of Mexico and the package has to go through customs, sometimes it takes a little longer in the process. I think I had some stickers go through customs in New York before making their way back down south to Arkansas. Go figure! Again, not Rattlerrepros fault. Just saying, if you order from Rattlerrepros - just be patient.

I've never heard of wormyworms, but I have bought some decals on eBay from TFKingdom(?) maybe. Whoever the eBay user was, the quality was similar to Rattlerrepros and they were not precut.

Good luck with applying stickers to your U.S.S. Flagg. The Hasbro decal placement diagram is kind of messed up. I searched for images of the box and prototype Flagg to fill in the gaps. I'm pretty sure that I am correct that the "Step Up" arrows are meant to actually point up in the direction of the ladders.

^^^ Very nice info.

I went with RattlerRepros for my Flagg decals because his were half the cost. I still need to do it, but all those tiny tower decals are daunting! My eyes aren't what they used to be haha.

And yes, the shipping time for RattlerRepros isn't his fault... I'm still waiting on an order I placed on 01/10/19, I tracked it and it looks like it's spanned the US from LA to the East Coast... I fear the decals are going to be hammered by the time they get to me.

Thanks for the replies, I've spent a lot of time and money on making sure these are all complete and unbroken so I want to make sure I get the best labels. Thanks for pointing out the custom screens for the Terrordrome, I wouldn't have thought to look for them.

Sorry Can not comment of FLAGG specifically.

However I am very happy with ToyHax(Cobrastickers). I have not had any issues with tearing or decals not being cut well at all. Actually I find their decals better quality than Hasbro's and many of Toyhax's decals are resized to fit better with regards to avoiding any raised details on the vehicles. My only detractor is that their Joe 83' HQ set was not exact but I suspect that is due to some copyright issues with the coms screen being an image from Marvel Comics. Some of the other decals in that set were altered in terms of color. Aside from that one set I have had nothing but a fantastic experience with their product and endorse them whole heartily. To put my money where my mouth is I plan on dropping little over $200 on their sets after I get my tax return.

Feel free to hit up my Flickr link below for my vintage vehicles restored grouped by year. You can see their sets applied to my collection. (my 83 Joe HQ is a mix of their set and another set).

I'll also agree with Cross Country that ToyHax's quality (and Rattlerrepros for that matter) is better than Hasbro's. The Hasbro stickers for the Cobra Rattler sucked!
