Hey Tankers!
I would like some help/advice on storage of joes/collection. Storage Units are expensive! at least I think they are.(maybe I am just cheap) but do you think storage has to be AC storage? I mean I may just build a shed. My main concern is the Heat. I live in Texas and its HOT I had some stuff in my attic but man I think it got cooked up there. I dont think vintage stuff can survive in 103+. Whats the best way to store collections? Sheds? Units? attic? is there anyway to cool pack stuff LOL!

Cool environments with low humidity is the most ideal place to store. A basement is probably the best on-site option (if you can't store them in a closet or spare room). Some air-conditioned storage units are ~100 a month, which isn't too bad. I'm sure you have other stuff to store in addition to Joes so it's probably an option you should consider.

Find a closet in the house to store them. Texas heat and humidity will kill them. If you need to store off site, climate control storage units are the way to go. Prices vary on those, but the further out you get to the suburbs, the cheaper the storage unit.

Spare closet or toy room is the only way to go here in Texas. A climate controlled storage facility is ok, but if you don’t have room for it and won’t soon, why don’t you just sell the stuff you can’t display or don’t just love and make money back, instead of throwing it away on rent?
