I'm having an argument about the tow rope sizes. I always thought the Linx, Mauler, wolverine and equalizer were different in length. I know mine are different but some forget collectors think they are all the same size. Who is right?

I thought they were all the same size just differant in color. The Wolverine posts were too far apart and that's how most including my childhood Wolverine's broke when trying to force it to fit.

I have heard it speculated that the softer plastic actually shrinks over time, so a wolverine tow rope would have fit on the vehicles' pegs normally in 1983, but 35 years later the soft plastic tow rope has shrunk somewhat. I think I recall some people had the interesting and unfortunate experience of having the wolverine on display with tow rope on the pegs, but after some years (or decades) it would actually snap on its own due to shrinkage. Perhaps the mauler tow rope in not just a different colour, but a different plastic, and side by side they may have different lengths in 2018 due to different rates of shrinkage.

None of mine are interchangeable. The wolverine does not fit on the Mauler and vice versa. So they seem to be different sizes

Side by side, the Wolverine and the Mauler/Equalizer have their pegs at different distances apart, the Wolverine having a longer distance between pegs.
