I think it was Battle Corps Bazooka. I only bought it out of nostalgia, Bazooka is one of my favorite characters.

1993 Beachhead. Also, a hooded Cobra Commander I’d ordered like, two years before came in after that.
I have bought figures for every line, though. I had to hide them from my parents in high school because they thought I was too old. Talk about nerdy... my secret stash was Joes. |

The last figures I bought were nunchuk and dice while camping with a friend. I did get NF storm shadow not long after in a trade though...

Never stopped. I can't say I am proud. I Bought Street Fighters too. Skipped Sgt Savage and Extreme stuff, but that doesn't count. I somehow missed the Hero's Collection (2002) wave with Sidetrack and Sideswipe and the Shock-Viper, but immediately bought the new Monkey-Armed GIJoe vs Cobra stuff. So no I Never stopped since 1982.

Battle Corps Cobra Commander and CG Commander in 1993. Had a known the line would end the following year I would have kept buying.

My final figures from my original collecting days were Red Star and Snow Serpent from 1991 when I was 11 or so. Oddly, I never bought a GI Joe for myself until I was older -- these were the last two my father bought for me.

1987 was the last year that I was “all in” with Joe. The only Joe I bought from the 1988 line up was Road Pig! In ‘88 I was entering high school; girls & music were catching my attention. Oddly enough, I started picking up the occasional Joe, after graduation, in ‘92. Between Kmart & KB Toys, I managed to find a decent amount of Star Brigade, DEF, Battle Corps & Ninja Force. I skipped Sgt. Savage, Extreme & the ‘97/‘98 lines. By Joe vs. Cobra, in 2000, I was all in again!

The last Joes I bought were the '91 series. I only got Big Ben, Heavy Duty, Sci-Fi, Lowlight, and Red Star.

I think Cross Country and the HAVOC was the last GI Joe item that I got as a kid. The first I got when I returned to Joe was the 25th Rattler and Wild Weasel.

Sadly, the last figures I bought as a kid were the Extreme figures. Those figures were nearly impossible to integrate into a battle. I mean, we already had the street fighter figures which were big and bulky and had special powers, and now there's these even larger, giant ass figures. It was a damn joke.
If you don't count the extreme figures, and you don't count mail-away Joseph Colton, the last figure I bought was the 1994 Purple Viper, that looks nothing like the original viper. |
