Will the 40 % by volume be okay or is that over doing it?
I thought I read somewhere that if you hang the part or figure over the solution that it will white the areas needed but it will not destroy the colored areas, is this true? PS... The women all looked at me funny when I went into sallys. I laughed. |

Since this thread started in 2009, what have the results been? Any damage, deterioration of the plastic, brittleness? Did the white color stay white? Just curious. Just got back into the collection and discovered that SS is yellow and would like to freshen him up a bit.

Some of the guys on the TF forums had tried this with various transformers. Most of them have already re-yellowed and apparently much worse than they started out as (from what I read, it was within a 1 to 2 year timeframe).
Just saw this thread and thought I'd pass on the warning. |

So, I'm guessing the peroxide trick is probably not the best idea?
Anyone else have similar experience or is this isolated? I have a vintage SS and Ace that are on the yellowed side and have been looking for a "safe" way to re-whiten them. Anyone have other ideas?
