Unless they find 50k people willing to pay around $30 a piece I don't think that would be profitable for Hasbro. In the other hand, what mold would they use? Vintage or modern? Either decision they make they will lose the other fanbase. The only way to go is vehicles and playsets you use with the figures you prefer.

People on the club do not do this for money more than they do it for the love to G.I. Joe. Hasbro is not there to please fans or for the love of anything other than money.

I think (and hope) it's totally in the realm of possibility for Hasbro to test the waters for HasLab Joe figures. They are definitely aware of the successful crowd-source models pioneered by Marauder, Boss Fight, etc so I'm sure the idea has been considered.
I think it would have to be for a set of figures as opposed to just one, ie something like OG13, Cobra La, etc. Or maybe they'll try a Matty Collector style HasLab FSS? Depending on how successful Jabba's Skiff is, I'm thinking they've only begun to scratch the surface. Considering the Club is wrapping up and retail GIJOE stuff is on hiatus, I think HasLab is our best hope. I'm staying optimistic and would love for someone closer to the brand to talk to DePriest about it. Maybe we can get some answers at JoeCon.

Yes, it's quite possible that a set of Modern era figures could be crowd funded, and it would have a much larger crowd than any Joe vehicle or playset as there are many figure-only collectors in addition to the vehicle-and-figure collectors.
MTF proves that relatively small audiences can successfully fund an entire set of new figures, and those don't have the benefit of the Joe or Hasbro brand recognition or the nostalgia pull of delivering classic ARAH figures in Modern form. And don't believe that BS about the Club. If anything, they just increased the cost and overhead compared to Hasbro doing it themselves. There are no licensing costs when you hold the license, there is one less middleman involved, and therefore one less cut being taken, and Hasbro has economies of scale in their favor. Hasbro might have lacked interest and allowed the Club to be a substitute but if they gain interest it would be cheaper for them to do it themselves. Please tell me you are just trying to defend your position and don’t really believe this.
