Damn... so I have been browsing though YoJoe.com and I am looking at some of the old GI Joe stuff...
And some of the old playsets were badass. Bivouac, Ammo Dump, Checkpoint, Forward Observer Unit, Machine Gun defense unit, Cobra Rifle Range, Mortar Defense unit, Missile defense unit... hell, I want these! And the Outpost Defender would have been AWESOME to have with these? Just how hard are these to get your hands on? And what the hell... most of these items could get packed in with Joes these days... wtf? |

i like em too. they are kinda costly on ebay complete. like $20+ a pop for the coolest ones. sometimes you can get lucky on an auction. i have no where else to find them.
i like the watchtower, checkpoint, outpost defender, and cobra bunker especially. i have the night landing and bivouac already.

I always laugh at the term "Ammo Dump."

Love these sets. I have most of them (somewhere in a box). Rifle range, ammo dump, checkpoint, all awesome.

Agreed. I had most of the small playsets when I was a kid, I foolishly sold them years ago for about $10 a piece, including the Checkpoint. That was one of the best ones...wish I didn't sell it. I still have the Cobra Bunker, the Bivouac, the Mortar and Missile sets, though.

So, what is the deal... these things weren't expensive back then... about the same price as a Joe... and considering how things are these days, why can't we see these packed in here and there in a Joe card? I was talking a while back about how these little things could be awesome accessories for figures, more so than spring loaded bullshit.

Weren't some of these released a year or 2 ago? I remember seeing some at Walmart. From what I hear, people have been picking them up at Big Lots now.
