I am basically a player rather than a collector, I actually play with my joes in the same way I did as a kid. My figures are growing faster than my vehicles and playsets and my primary way to store them is using bags to match figures with their accessories but considering that in my GI Joe universe all the personnel has been divided into subteams to cover all the territory of USA and foreign (kind of Marvel's 50 states initiative), a group of members is assigned a vehicle or two and if possible a place (playset) that could be considered their HQ. Some teams have not a HQ so they in theory live in the assigned vehicle or in a camp, that is why I will make a priority purchasing vehicles with storage space first so I do not have bag and unbag figures every time I want to play but just keep them in the vehicle and keep their weapons inside the storage space (I have enough memory to know which weapon is for each figure).
Having all the weapons inside a bag could sound as the most effective solution but it is just not realistic in terms of my universe's way to mobilize troops since soldiers in real life need a place to store their weapons and equipment anyways. So I would like to request some community help to come up with a list of vehicles with such a characteristic. Thanks for the help. |

The Whale has a weapons storage on the bottom. The 83 HQ has a rear compartment with two trays that can hold accessories.

The Water Moccasin has storage on the sides on the back. The Hydrofoil can store weapons under the rear platform where figures stand. The Mauler can store small weapons on the side compartments.

The Snow Cat (and derivatives) can store a lot of equipment at the base of the launcher.

The 1993 Mudbuster has an entire tray in the back for storage.
The 1990 Cobra Rage has a storage compartment on the side. |

The Hammer has a rather large trunk. If you get into the 2000s vehicles the Humvees have a ton of storage space. Conquest jets have quite a bit of space when you remove the bottom back fins (used to store Tracker's raft in there as a survival kit).

The Grizzly Patriot has a compartment in the back that's perfect for accessories. A figure can fit, but is kind of cramped in there so I use it for guns instead.

If you collect Modern stuff, the Eaglehawk has peg holes for backpacks all over the interior.

The Ice Saber/Ice Dagger has a small compartment near the telescoping turret; also, the rear passenger compartment is great for accessories.
I thought it was hilarious when the Danger at the Docks set included that great footlocker full of swag, and neither vehicle in the set had even ghost of a chance of being able to actually transport it...makes me wonder who dropped it off originally, or how anyone was intended to retrieve it.
