Patricio, I'd be interested how you would divide your forces by location. I always thought Tiger Force would have to be stationed in India and Indonesia.

The way how I form groups is sort of arbitrary and depends on many factors, it is not static and people is assigned or reassigned according to the needs of the moment. There are mobile groups that are required for special circunstancies such as the SEAL team, the bomb and chemicals disposal team or the intelligence/cover operations group to name a few but stationed groups are formed taking into consideration they being as self-sufficient as possible so they have varied fields of expertise. Every group has a leader who responds to General Hawk and the leader is generally the most suitable element according to the environment/type of mission assigned (for instance Dusty leads the group who patrols the Mojave Desert in Nevada and Snow Job is in charge of the polar troops positioned in Alaska [yes, polar troops stay in polar environments]). I own 3 3/4" figures from other toy lines and that allows me to have a lot of support personnel to the teams filling the positions of drivers, gunners, turret operators, handymen and other not so specialized tasks. I disregard official GI Joe teams such as Tiger Force since they are made out of repainted characters, in my Joeverse the most iconic version of the character is the one used unless it is prohibitive then I choose the most similar version to the original one purchased in a cheaper price. Regarding your comment of the Tiger Force being in Indonesia or India, well that could be a decision taken under the influence of a stereotype. I do not think I will ever be able to put one team into every country in the world map, not even one team in every State (a division of USA into regions or sections would be more realistic) but perhaps a main HQ and some mobile small teams into a other continents that move from country to country could be a more manageable concept. This idea of mine to handle the GI Joe operations in my universe is experimental and it will develop as the amount of vehicles, figures and playsets grow however is not uncommon in my playing universe to make some retcons as the story advances or even revamp the whole universe if things are not working as smooth as I thought they would. |

This is how I see it, especially for the Winter troops. One thing I never (or rarely ever) see, though, is the Snow troops actually doing their duties during the Winter months in the comics and T.V. shows. Most of the 48 U.S. states have 3-6 months of very cold weather, perfect for Snow Job, Frostbite, Iceberg, etc. In my JOE-verse, these soldiers are used a whole lot more than previously seen in other media, because many times (especially in the mountains), major parts of the U.S. are snow-bound, and that would be the perfect time for Cobra to strike major targets on national soil. Snow Job and his crew are always tooling around on their vehicles in parts of North America, even inside major cities, making sure our Nation is safe. Seeing Iceberg in New York City; or Bangor, Maine; or even Myrtle Beach, South Carolina (at times!) during Christmas would not be uncommon.

The POC VAMP has several places to store backpacks for the figures.

Pursuit of Cobra. It's the series of figures and vehicles that came out after the first live action movie.

You should imagine my astonishment when I discovered RoC Ice Viper's missile launching sled fit onto the sled-missile rack of the 50th Cobra WOLF. I was really impressed until I remembered that the WOLF was originally released over 20 years before the RoC Ice Viper...even then, though, I was still kind of impressed that they consciously made an accessory compatible with a vehicle from over 20 years prior.
