Tankers, is there any distinguishing differences between the vintage and modern Conquest x-30? (Both Joe and Cobra versions).

I believe the missiles on the vintage versions are more pointy.

Vintage missiles were pointier and actually stayed on.
The vintage rear landing gear folded out more. Basically, the wheels can be perpendicular to the ground, but the 25th and up cannot open all the way so the wheels are slanted inwards a little even when fully deployed. This is something that you wouldn't notice unless you take it apart, but the two halves are glued together at the wings. I remember just having to remove the screws on the vintage one to take it apart, but the 25th, it's glued so you can't separate them.

The lower tail-fin piece (don't know what it's called) is different too. My 25th had one deformed fin, so I bought a vintage piece to replace it and found that the tabs which snap it into place are molded differently. They're also different shades of gray.

Ok thanks guys. Local shop has a Joe and Python x-30 for $25 each but I couldn't tell era by looking. They looked really clean and shiny so I was suspicious.

Yeah, $25 for either version is a good price.

Both had the later missiles so I put the money towards a very shiny vintage Skystriker instead. Yo Joe!
