Hello, I am new to this site. I've not watched the cartoon in a LONG time. I am 32 now. haha I did get the series, in that cool box a few years ago. I will have to get into it. As a side note, a few days ago, I saw I can get Joe comics on iTunes. I've never read comics before. I will have to get some.
My question is this. Could anyone, give me the exact dimensions, of the U.S.S. Flagship thing? I am on an 80s forum on Facebook. A day ago, someone posted a video. It was a commercial for one of those toys. I weld as a hobby. I thought, I could get some aluminum and totally make one. Now, I do not have any machine tools. So, as for the chairs and stuff, I may have to make them out of wood. But, it seems like a lot of fun. I just need the size of everything. If someone, per say, could draw a picture of the thing. Then, draw each part and write down the dimensions, that would be great. I have a lot of pictures. But, to me, being the exact size would make it best. |

I don't own a USS Flagg, so unfortunately I can't help you out, but this sounds like a fun project and I hope you keep us updated if you do get the measurements you're after. Maye you just need some really high quality photographs of the entire thing at certain angles (top, sides, front) and if you know the overall dimensions, you can extrapolate the dimensions of everything else based on that. Asking someone to draw each part and measure the dimensions and write it down is a fair amount of work!

I wished I own a Flagg to help you with this...
I would measure photograph everything for you! Reminds me of when I was young, we had this big, nice detailed fishing/sail boat carved out of wood mounted in the yard, and it was JUST right in scale for GI Joes... and huge in over all size/deck space, it WAS a scale fishing boat... Imagination turned it from a fishing boat into battleship! |

I used a modified cardboard box for a G.I. Joe ship to go head to head with my Moray when i was a kid. This sounds so much cooler
Good luck! I hope someone is able to help you out. |

I carved the shape of the deck in the dirt behind my house in Phoenix Arizona in 1985, smoothed it out and landed my planes.

It DOES help. haha With that, I should be able to figure everything else out. I will get some cardboard paper. I think I have some. I use to to make puppet mouths. haha I will make the entire thing out of that. Then, I can use those to make the marks on aluminum.
