Thank you, I was playing a battle last night involving the S.L.A.M. toe-to-toe against the Night Raven, I just did not know how the extendable supports were deployed so one of the guys inside the vehicle had to go out to take out the supports manually. In that moment I thought "man, those legs must weight a ton", so I "imagined" they were mechanically operated. Nice to know they have hydraulic mechanisms to deploy, I had not to recon the scene as the mechanism did not work and they had to be moved manually.
Anyways, for those wondering who won, the occupants of the S.L.A.M. get off the vehicle seconds before two missiles almost destroyed it. Yes, the S.L.A.M. succumbed before the fire power of the Raven. The S.L.A.M. sent all its missile at once but as the Raven flew upwards with all his potency the missiles just lost strength and fell down without reaching their target. Finally the Beast Bomber could position itself over the Raven and throw a falling bomb which reached the Raven but not before receiving a missile that knocked it down but after a forced landing, the Beast Bomber could be saved. The adventure for tonight is sending a land team with vehicles to look for the Joes who jumped from the plane before the landing (the pilot did not want to jump, wanted to save the plane). Things could get ugly since the Air-Viper who jumped from the Raven is nearby.

Do you allow me a last question please? As I bought my S.L.A.M. second hand I know from reviews I have watched on youtube that the cannon is really tight to move upwards and downwards but mine is evidently looser than it should be. Is there a way to fix that issue?

I am in front of the thing and I have been about 15 minutes trying to figure out how to apply the tape. Any help appreciated.

The sides with the cross shaped ends on the guns themselves. You might notice some chips in the plastic there. Where those connect to the body are your weak points. You can use some electrical tape there to replace whatever plastic was lost. The cannons "droop" because they have nothing to catch on.

There is a second piece that traps the cannon to the main body. That piece is loose and the seller tried to glue it as it has some dry glue in a brown color I did not notice it before. I will glue the piece with a tougher glue so it press the cross shaped ends. Thanks for the answer.

This is an excellent and informative thread. We need more like this. I enjoyed both Solosam's technical descriptions of the SLAM's usage as well as Patricio's fantasy play involvement. I think every Joe and Cobra vehicle would benefit from such a discussion.
