Used the memorial day weekend to build a proper display table and bring it down out of the attic. No doubt the deck display will always be changing, but I'm super excited to finally have the thing play-ready!
2 sheets of 4x8 plywood, 10 pine 2x3's Had some kind of ocean view wall hanging that worked out perfectly for the top! Battle on the high seas! Had to enjoy the table before breakind down and rebuilding the Flagg. Freshly hung posters, purchased at the most recent NJCC! Had to get something going on the flight deck... I still have some finishing touches to do to the table, but overall I'm really happy with how it came out! A big shout out to the others that have displayed their flaggs in this thread. I grabbed some inspiration for the table design from dtm1971's shelves. Last edited by Maximus; 05-29-2012 at 01:42 PM.. |

Posted this elsewhere, but I thought I would share the pic with my Flagg brothers and sister.
I did this for memorial day as a way to pay homage to our troops. I had to drop the table that's under the Flagg to take an overhead shot. It took me an hour to set up. I used 38 Gi Joes to spell the word Thanks. |

Maximus, that is cool. Plus, I love the Memorial Day dedication Dave. Where's the like button for both of these projects?

Supplies used were 2 - 4x8 sheets of plywood - approx $10/ sheet and 10 - 8' pine 2x3 framing studs. They run about $2/stud and I purchased 2 extra to be safe. I'll try to throw together some quick instructions when I have a few more minutes. |

Also just became a Member to the club!
Anyone know where i can get repro y clips, or deck clips? I'd say the unit i got is around 75-80% complete but i'm not bent on getting a full complete boat just one that fits and looks good so my kids and my friends kids can play with it....
