Well I'm having little luck with the Flagg I won on eBayUS.
Auction ended in November last year. Lady sent all pieces but the largest part of the deck, which the post office told her was too big to send overseas. Some friends suggested I have her contact UPS (I think) as they will send whatever you want...as long as you are willing to pay. The seller got back to me again this morning saying: "Hello... Just returned from UPS... bad news.. the dimensions of this item are making the cost INSANE... it is about 40"x55"x8" and they said it would be either apps $900 or $1300... for 2 or 4 day delivery... I am not sure where else to go.. If we cut it in 1/2 that will or 1/3s it will probably solve our issues.. but I know you are a collector and probably want it whole.. any Ideas??? are you coming to NY any time soon? I would love to come to australia and hand deliver it..." Does anyone have any advise, or is the seller right in that we have no option other than to cut the Deck in half or pay $1000 postage? Thanks folks! Sam. |

I am in the military and currently stationed in Barbados...I had a similar issue when I was trying to get mine delivered. The cost was just too much so I had it sent to my parent's house instead. Mine is still in the original box and was going to cost close to $2000 to send via UPS. I know this doesn't help but I just wanted to verify the lady's claims of how expensive it is to send.

Dude, you can find the main deck piece almost anywhere. I would just bite the bullet and pick one up somewhere else. Shouldnt be more the $30 or $40, they are very common because they are the hardest part to lose, lol!!!

Thanks for the info folks.
She had put a loose shipping quote of $300 on the auction, but I talked to her before it ended as I knew postage would be far more expensive than that. So I am in no way suggesting she should pay anything when she was kind enough to allow overseas bidders. I'm talking to a few other people about some options, & I'll see what happens. I might end up just waiting & seeing if I can find the piece in Australia...I think the Flagg was released over here? |

Some of you guys know about this site but for you that don't. You can get reproduction parts for the Flagg and other vehicles here. There is a sub section for vehicles or you can use the search box to find what your looking for. Thank you new member conleyh2006 for sharing this with me.
