You did a great job. The uncut stickers are fine for smaller vehicles, but not the Flagg for sure.

Question about Keel Haul's file card. I noticed that the mail-in version from Hasbro Direct of his file card has a date of 1988 on the upper right corner.
What does the original 1985 file card of the version that came with the USS Flagg look like? Did he come with one? Because I have yet to see a file card with a 1985 date on it. Or are all the cut-out file cards I see on eBay just the 1988 Hasbro Direct version?

Keep Hauls original file card does not have a date in upper right corner as seen here:

1. M-4054: Bow Hull 2. Bow Ladder 3. Battery Cover for Loudspeaker 4. Keel Haul File Card (1985) 5. Keel Haul Pistol 6. Instructions/Blueprints 7. Label Placement Sheet. Almost there! I got my Flagg stickers from Cobra Stickers the other day. I am very happy with them. The only thing was that there was a dent in one of the main large 9's. If this was on a smaller sticker, I would let it pass, but seeing that this is one of the main pieces visible on the Flagg, it does bother me. I wrote Cobra Stickers yesterday asking if I can send this particular sheet back for an exchange. What is Cobra Stickers customer service like? I really hope they can help me.

Here's a progress report of my superstructure. I was able to attain a superstructure bottom and will be working on that level soon. I am waiting for delivery of the radar net antenna, two deck ladders, and the small section of railing. I am hunting for a complete mast or components to make one and a flag as well.
I've never liked the purge valve, nor understood the significance of it. There are no such valves on the bridge of warships, it's too low to the deck, and serves no logical purpose. At least, no one has ever been able to explain one to me. So, I decided to replace it with another computer. It made sense to me. I repainted the chairs and computer consoles, as well as adding a bit of detail. The "missile box" was disassembled, cleaned, and painted both inside and out. The interior is painted in silver, which was a common interior color in gunnery division spaces. That pretty much finishes up that level of the superstructure. On to the top and the bottom levels. Questions are welcome. I hope you enjoy. Last edited by Everett Colby; 01-08-2015 at 05:45 PM.. |
