I am currently in the process starting to restore a Killer Whale. I have been able to remove everything i need to replace and plan on reusing on the Whale I am restoring. I have also removed all parts I am using from the donor Whale except for the rocket pod arms. Does anyone have a suggestion or tips for removing the arms. The arms I am using do not the vertical pieces (already broke off) and will only be temp until I can find complete ones.

What I did was pull the entire top green panel off the black piece completely. I then ran the arms I needed under hot water for a while and pushed with a screwdriver on the inner side until it was free. I did this on two different Whales and niether were damaged in the process.

What's the best way to remove top green panel off. I looked at doing that but was not sure where the tabs were. |

I am restoring a whale right now as well. The whale shell is three pieces. Start with the 6 screws on the bottom. Once removed the lower two black pieces will separate easily. The green top piece has tabs that connect it to the middle black piece. You can easily work the tabs from the under side of the middle black piece once the bottom is removed. Hope this helps. I was surprised that wasn't more out there on Whale restoration. I had a real hard time with the launching mechanism for the sled but eventually figured it out.
