Hmm, I am definitely not going to buy the PITT...but i don't care about the flagg either. I never liked that playset as a kid and i like it less now as an adult. I think it's over rated and over priced. I would much prefer a rework of the original joe HQ or a new terror drome. I have the Terror Drome, but it's dated and could stand to be refreshed for the times. I don't understand what the draw of the flagg is, other than people's inner child wanting what they couldn't have when they were young. But then i don't understand the draw of the big planes either. I own a Night Raven, complete with extra StratoVipers and all it does is clock time in storage. It's too big. But to each their own i guess.

I wouldn't pay $250 for a FLAGG even if pay $100 for a PITT. A FLAGG, the same size as before, would be more then $250 if a Turbo Tank and PITT are around $100 and those are alot smaller then the FLAGG. The Millenium Falcon wasn't anywhere near FLAGG size and was $100+.
FLAGG would probably be around $350 or so. And no thanks. I don't have room for something that size and don't have the funds to spend on something like that. $100-$150 is tops for what I'd spend. I'd rather see more things like the RHINO and that size of playset/vehicle. Now can do a section of the FLAGG and I'd be happy with that, doesn't have to be the whole thing. Part of the flight deck and the control tower with the spaces underneath the flight deck. Could do that for $100-$250 range depending on size and detail. My original post (see the recap at the beginning of this thread) was meant to get everyone thinking that if they didn't support the toys in some way, there would be little to no chance of a Flagg in our future, classic or Resolute. I was really trying to get people to see that some of the new ROC toys aren't really that bad, and some are actually figures we wanted in the first place (Resolute Gung Ho and Night Force Tunnel Rat are examples) that are being released in the ROC line. All I know is this, I'm buying classic and Resolute figs on ROC cardbacks and I'm even gonna go after some "as seen in the film' stuff. I like most of what I see. Accelerator armor and Monkeywrench don't thrill me. Doubt I'll want those (even though I gotta get Monkeywrench to get Tunnel Rat). Here's where Hasbro needs to step up though. Hasbro, you NEED to make sure that there is a watchable/readable media for KIDS to enjoy the ROC characters in an age appropriate format. My son is 6 and I will NOT take him to the movie nor let him watch the DVD when it comes out (he'll get to see PG-13 stuff when he's at least 8 or 9). My idea for Hasbro is this, when the DVD is released, have a bonus disc (or even a separate release) available to show the entire film edited in a PG format. Lose the excessive violence (showing bullets actually hit people up close, head shots, torture, and sexual innuendos) and give us something our kids can watch so they can get excited about the movie.

Hey, maybe we still can have the PIT be part of a Build-a-Flagg. Whereas it can serve as a foundation for the Build-a-Flagg's bow; bottom front. In the movie sequel; Hasbro can sell the Resolute Flagg's "Twin Catapults" to rest atop the Pit; the foundation that can be the front of the Flagg. If you put down the Pit's side-panels you can cover the Pit's wheels and expose what will look like a sleeping quarters of a ship. Not to mention, the Pit's side-railings attop makes it look real ship like. And, for the final third Joe movie, with all its fanbase kid built-up, we can finally then have the big Superstructure. The final piece, the Stern, can come with the release of the Joe Trilogy on Blu-ray a year or two later. Inclusive of the Pit, that's 4 pieces to a Build-a-Flagg. If your listening Hasbro, and you know this first movie product might flop, and the Pit is not being sold. Hasbro's design team can still nonetheless implement a "Plan B" to excite people by showing that this Pit will double as the front-bottom-bow serving as the foundation for a future Build-a-Flagg.

Be more likely they would do Flagg exclusive internet buy or mail-away flag points for a flagg. But could you imagine how many things you'd have to buy for flag points for a flagg?

I'd be happy if Rise of Cobra does well, and Gijoe takes small steps to becoming one of Hasbro's greatest investments. The key is progression, and I'd be much more happy if the name "USS Flagg" isn't a possibility until a couple of years down the road from now. The best thing I think we can hope for is to expect small things first before jumping to the Flagg. Big wheels turn slowly.
