Hello Hisstank! I've replaced a few o-rings recently and wondering why after removing the back screw, separating the torso, replacing the o-ring and reassembling, I have a few figures where the torso no longer fits together flush as it did before I removed the screw.
Can't figure out how to fix this, since now the figures have a gap between the two halves of the torso. Any fixes for this? Thank You! |

More than likely the replacement rubberband is thicker than the original, thus making the two halves to have a gap. I experienced this a few times with replacement bands, had to shop around to find ones that were closer to the same width.
Either that or part of the rubberband is caught between the post on the back torso and front torso where the screw actually inserts. The first probably being the best explanation.

thats the trouble with alot of the replacement o-rings, especially on ebay. They either don't fit at all or they are left over stock from the Valor vs Venom, GIJoe vs Cobra and Spytroops days.
I ended up using very small rubber bands instead of o-rings. The old T-hooks are starting to show their age and sometimes a brand new o-ring is just too tight and will break the t-hook. The rubber bands have more give but will still keep the figure together just as well as an o-ring and the rubber band is thin enough it won't cause that gap problem either. |

Are you reusing the same screws on the same figures?
If using new screws, they could be slightly longer and not allow a snug fit. |
