Hey tankers,
I am wondering if this material is desirable to the common Joe fan. I've set up some auctions, but I'd also like some feedback on keeping stuff like this, is it lame, does it rock, or is nobody into it at all? Is this something you do? Keeping scraps of vintage material forever, never knowing if it will be worth anything ever? Below are my auctions, please bid, I need your money. However, I'd also like this to be a discussion on keeping material like this. ~DS G.I. JOE COBRA Vintage FILECARDS HUGE LOT!!!! 1980's - eBay (item 130509530456 end time Apr-20-11 19:56:47 PDT) Vintage G.I. Joe Cobra inserts - eBay (item 130509532663 end time Apr-20-11 20:10:25 PDT) Vintage 3.75 Cobra Firebats: Wing hinges intact G.I.JOE - eBay (item 130509500752 end time Apr-20-11 17:40:45 PDT) Decepticon Autobot Flagg Points HUGE LOT G.I. Joe Cobra - eBay (item 130509502677 end time Apr-20-11 17:52:25 PDT) SAMMAEL: Super rare Hellboy movie Monster HELLBOY MOVIE - eBay (item 130509535086 end time Apr-20-11 20:27:32 PDT) Happy Discussion and Happy bidding!

So does anyone believe that these items have value, or is it a waste to save vintage flagg points and filecards???

Good topic.
Yes I find File cards to be pretty essential to the Cobra and or Joe, I keep the blue prints, booklets and pack ins till I move and then 70% goes in the garbage. Same with vehicle boxes too. It just gets to be allot of stuff to keep. Its a case to case situation. Shit I have been known to toss comic books away just to make space. I would totally on a second purchase a hard back book containing just packaging art.

I actually used most of my vintage flag points to obtain an extra Doc Mail Away. I still have about 25-40 flag points. Oodles of catalogs and inserts. The file cards and blueprints are essential to vintage stuff IMO. I just purchased a bunch from a fellow tanker and now most of my vintage stuff is truly 100% complete.
The newer stuff I could care less about the inserts. they don't have the same feel as the original stuff--even the catalogs and blueprints.

I think it's all good stuff and desirable. File cards are a must in my opinion and I love all the little catalogs and promos.
