Apologies for the delay in getting these posted and the screenshots as My iPad is being dumb.
I used 3/8 plywood as a base and 1x6 common board for the walls. 1x2 was used to make the supports to keep the elevator area open. Elevator is not pictured complete as I need to cut the pieces to give it full travel to the lower deck. Last edited by wambam2; 07-08-2020 at 11:12 PM.. Reason: Spelling |

I’m looking to construct one of these myself. I think using dimensional lumber for the walls is over kill though. Especially if you’re going to cut doorways into them. If I get an 4x8’ sheet of furniture grade plywood I’ll have plenty of excess to built the walls. If not I’ll grab another sheet.
Would anyone have the measurements of the assembled trusses for the walls (or a template) and for the base itself so I can build one of these without opening a Flagg? Would anyone have the width of the trusses on their bottom? I’d like to use plywood the same width to match them. Cheers, thanks all. |

Awesome work, but LEDs are gonna light up that woodgrain like there's no tomorrow... can you blast that base board with some filler/sandable primer before permanently assembling? That should really smooth things out and help it look more like a plastic surface to match the Flagg proper.

Power supply came in. Here’s a few quick shots I got off before work with the lights on. I don’t mind the wood grain showing through but can always address it later if it bothers me. The last photo is a look at the bridging I did to keep the elevator open.
