Hi all, im new to here. Am a collector of takara vintage joes but only own a few pieces coz they don't come by often.
Am planning to start collecting the vehicles and an acquaintance happened to want to sell his Cobra Rattler. What's a reasonable price to offer him for it? Its technically mint in sealed box but he opened it just to check the content. Never been assembled, all parts still sealed in bag, with sticker sheet / instruction manuals etc. The box condition is about C7-7.5 Can anyone advise? |

This would be awesome to have, especially if you are planning to put it together.
Reason being is that the stickers on the Takara ones are thinning than the vintage ones and will likely not have the sticky residue on the outside. ie. the stickers will be in perfect to near perfect condition to use. I used to have one back when Takara Joes weren't so expensive. I had the Takara version of almost all the vehicles just cause they were actually cheaper than a MIB American one and the stickers were actually usable. Good luck on it. I believe I have seen MIB Takara Rattlers go for about $200-$400. Sorry I'm not much help in that department. I lucked out when I got mine cause I had a friend who has a good friend in Japan that would pick these up for me, so I paid $100 for mine, but that was through someone who was able to buy direct from Japan and was many years ago.

Thanks for the advice. Gosh $200-$400 is quite a big range though...

The Taraka stuff does range that wildly if you look at the prices they sell for on Ebay for what it's worth.
I got my Takara Rattler in similar condition for a $305 shipped about a year ago if that helps |

The price varies like mentioned, I am a Takara collector as well and I can find the Rattler for a decent price and there is one for sale right now for about $180 sealed contents. They are becoming less common so the cost has risen.
Few I had for sale
