That is fun! Nice find
I bought a lot of MOC figures in the mid to late 90's. In the early 2000's I was cleaning out the basement and found a bag full of cut out cd boxes (anyone remember when cds came in long cardboard boxes?) and other stuff I I used to hang on the walls, magazine pages, posters, etc. I was going to trash it all and at the last minute I decided to dig through it for nostalgia's sake. I found a Gung HO Marine Dress and Iceberg, both on the card. I have/had no recollection of ever purchasing them. Also digging through a box of carded figures about 10 years back, I found I had a Zandar MOC and a Python CopperHead MOC that I never remember buying.

In 2008 my kids were playing in the backyard at our home in Texas, and they pulled from the earth a small plastic car that had been covered in dirt, and had a healthy covering of grass roots around it. A hard rain had washed away just enough soil to partially reveal the toy, even though we had lived there for a decade without previously noticing it.
We estimate that it has been buried ever since some child played with and lost it during the years 1988-1998 (possibly a grandchild of the old man I purchased the house from). The only markings on it were “1988 Hasbro Inc., Macao”. I thought nothing of it, and the boys added it to their bucket of Matchbox and Hotwheel cars they played with in the dirt. We took it with us to Germany, and then to Virginia, but never realized what it was. One day in 2015, my son was thumbing through Mark Bellomo’s Ultimate Guide to G.I. Joe, when he spotted a picture of that toy in the book. He retrieved the old toy, and showed it to me. Sure enough, he had discovered a 1988 G.I. Joe vehicle pack Tank Car. It appeared to have never had any stickers applied to it, so I cleaned it up and put some repro stickers on it to restore it back to its former glory (if ever it had any). Oh well, as a toy, it was successful during its lifetime, because it probably entertained some child in Texas during the eighties, and my children and their friends in Germany twenty years after that.
