man i have heard a few collectors talk about this, i have never tried to take my zartan apart, i would assume after you take the screw out his back you will probably have to use a exacto knife to split him open. mabe try letting him soak in warm water for a few minutes might help.

I used a exacto knife, and was lucky not to get any damage.

Yea but i think with the 84 zartan once u get the screw out the body is still stuck together. I don't know if its glue or somethin else.

I noticed this too on my old one I had, I reckon the "color changing skin" on Zartan has to be glued together and you can't take it apart like a normal Joe figure.

ALL RAH color changing RAH figures CAN NOT be opened. There are glued in the factory. Zartan, Zarana and Zartan. I've known this since I was a wee lad. I thought it was very common knowledge.

I have never seen anyone successfully change out 1984 Zartans O-ring. I tried to change out an O-ring on a Zandar figure once by boiling the figure. I ended up destroying the figure trying to take it apart.
