As far as I know, there are 4 versions of the APC.
1.original 2.action force(different interior, tires, weaponry and paint job) 3.night scrambler(night force) 4.Hasbro direct version (I believe this is the same as the club exclusive (CUDA) They're all different in paint jobs, but have the same basic exterior shell. How I would live to have a vehicle that could hold 28 modern era figures. I doubt the molds still exist, but if they did, it seems as it would be really easy to retool the footpegs and add the necessary height to the canopy. Although I could also go for an all newly tooled MRAP style version; as long as it could hold a large amount of figures, just like the original APC.

I have to agree on the Action Force APC. I would love to have one of those. A night scrambler would be nice as well. I see them, on occasion, on eBay, but they are usually very expensive or very beat up.

What crazy timing for this thread. Literally, just yesterday, I mentioned in one of the Kre-o threads " I always feel like I'm the only one who loved the APC"
Me and my bro had so much fun with the APC, when I decided a little over ten years ago to start buying up all my favorite Joes from childhood, the APC was the first vehicle I bought. Funny story with it. I was fairly new to ebay, and didn't do a super duper job at looking over the auction, so when it arrived and had Canadian flag stickers on it, I scratched my head and had to laugh at myself. Early lesson learned in ebay though. I'm fired up to be on team APC! |

I don't have the all green CUDA, Night Force or Action force versions but would like them. I think I'll just paint ones to look like CUDA and NF, since they're just repaints. |

One of the most underrated classic vehicles.Every version was cool but I agree the Action Force version was the best.A hybrid troop carrier and mobile field HQ in one.

I am an APC fan big time, its been next on my list for a while. I intend to get 4-6 of them in one of those auctions you see from time to time that are for lots of them. I ALMOST had the last auction of 5 but stopped for groceries that afternoon and someone BINed it before I could get home to our computer. I was planning on Krylon fusion flat tanning one canopy and flat ODing another to get a Cuda copy and an all tan canopy to commemorate my childhood one that got played with SO much that the bark brown wore off of the canopy leaving it solid tan

Cobra needs an APC! For all the "no name" troopers that Cobra has, Hasbro could bleed my wallet dry! Release a black one for the Crimson Shadow Guard, release a red one for the Crimson Guard and add a couple stickers to the sticker sheet for the Red Shadows. Pythonize one for the Python Patrol, Cobra blue for the vipers and blue shirts, tan for desert, digicamo grey for the snow serpents; the possibilities are endless. The joes could use one for the steel brigade or tiger force. C'mon Hasbro, take my money!!!

It was my favorite joe vehicle until the Whale came along- but i drove the heck out of my APC for ages... even with a missing wheel it didn't seem to slow down much.

I love it. It was on my list of "gotta haves" and got one in trade for some DG figures and I have the NF one on it's way in trade for 3 blue DG Troopers...
This vehicle is seriously underappreciated. |
