If you can clean it without taking too much apart, that would be ideal, the thing is fragile with a capital F.

Hey all, long time lurker, first time poster.
At long last, I finally picked up a Terror Drome at the Kentuckiana GI Joe con this weekend. I never had one as a kid, so it was a priority for me once I decided to get back into Joes. It needs a SERIOUS cleaning, but is complete, so for $300 I figured it was a good deal. Now I have to figure out where I'm going to put the thing. So far the wife hasn't seemed to notice it sitting on a table in the basement. We'll see how long that lasts! At any rate, I need to clean it up, and am a bit nervous about disassembling it without breaking anything, but I've read some other threads here and watched some videos, so hopefully I can pull it off. Wish me luck! I used to keep mine on my tool bench under a contractor garbage bag until I had to replace my toilet. I have to pop off the upper deck canon sections but aside from that it slides right in. My TD is in my 1986 Restoration Album in the link below. Feel free to hit me up with any questions. And please keep us posted on your progress.

Lol, I could make that work. I guess that needs clarification. With the upper deck canon sections removed my TDfits nicely in the box by new toilet came in. Don’t even ask about the horrors that befell my Castle Grayskull.

Yeah, I'm a bit nervous about it, but I'm afraid I won't be able to reach everything properly with just a toothbrush if it is still assembled. Will have to give it some thought!

Hey fellow tankers. I am happy to announce i have joined your ranks and acquired a terror drome last week. After getting discouraged after missing some decent local deals in my area, and watching the price for a decent one on ebay creep up, I stumbled on an even better deal on craigslist 15 mins from my house.
I met the seller and he was a great guy who was downsizing his collection. The drome was complete with no broken parts, and even had blueprints and a box. I was very excited. When looking at the pictures, please excuse the mess. My displays and Flagg are a work-in-progress. |

Thanks guys. It was $350 for all of it. I figure I saved close to $100 just by not having to pay shipping. My son and daughter loved it too. We enjoyed one fairly restrained battle with it and then it went on my table for now. I had only seen one in person once before and never handled it. The plastic is fairly thin/fragile.
Although I am a little paranoid about breakage, I enjoy letting my kids into the Joeverse. My son loves the cobra figures (he prefers the dark side as well in star wars) while my daughter likes using all of the females and dogs together (Scarlet, Lady Jay, Shooter, Baroness, along with Order, Junkyard and Timber). |
