Dont know if there is a thread like this anywhere, but this person purchased a figure from me in my store. When he got it, he wasn't happy with it. Even though the problem he wasn't happy with was clear in the pics. I offered him a full refund. Wasn't good enough. He then left me negative feedback. His user name is ryhogan742012 This is getting so crazy on ebay with this kind of nonsence. I am selling vintage toys for over 20 years and it is worse now more than ever!
sorry for the rant, but just frustrating!

Edit* Nevermind, I found it. Can't tell by the pic, but he said arm is cracked.

I offered a full refund, gave exceptional service as always, responded to all of his messages quickly. I couldn't do anymore for the buyer. I wasn't going to give it to him for free. Nor should I have too!

I know I am particular about elbows on vintage joes now. But if I can't tell from the picture, I ask. And if I forget to, then that is on me. The nature of vintage figures, especially 1988 it seems, is that elbows can crack at any given time.

I noticed your general description says nothing is broken, but on another feedback for a BAT you sold, you mention a broken arm peg on the backpack and that all three arm attachments have broken pegs inside, then right after that you say nothing is broken. So it's a bit confusing. Probably a template/typo?
I agree questions should be asked if something is unclear, but not seeing a cracked elbow and your description says nothing is broken, could make buyers upset. If anything, a refund would suffice and neutral feedback left. No sense leaving negative if you're willing to work with him. Especially since you could swap out that arm for less than $2 bucks with another. But you should know how uptight and cheap us fellow collectors can get ;) I have a bunch of figures I plan on selling, but quite a few have cracked elbows... so I'm not sure if it's worth it or not. Might just sell them under the guise of "parts only" or something. All in all, if it makes you feel better, after 2000 or so positive feedbacks, I tend to not care about a few negatives, and you've got over 4000 positive feedbacks. |

I've had mint figures in my personal collection crack in my display case. It happens. Especially in this high humidity. I'm always afraid one will crack as it is being shipped since they sit in a 130+ degree trailer all day during transit. I list mine as cracked, uncracked, splintered or stressed. Some people are particular. But if he particular as a buyer, he should have asked. I never give partial refunds. Full refunds only. Most people that demand partial refunds are just looking to get it cheaper even though they were willing to pay the price up front. Block him, Call Ebay and tell them he left negative feedback without being reasonable. If you can clearly see the damage in the picture, it's his fault. Offering full refund when your listing shows that is your return process, they should remove it.

This buyer is an idiot. The crack is clearly visible in the picture. Check his feedback history, he's left lots of negative feedback for idiotic reasons.
Blaming ebay is a bit unfair, though. Idiots like this cost businesses money EVERYWHERE. |

The tiny crack near the left elbow? Nothing to get in a fuss over.

Do people really even care about cracked elbows? I always disclose them when preent, but my figures always sell at good prices. Some people are just dickwads.

That figure looks clean and I'd rather have a mint logo with cracked elbow than an uncracked elbow with worn logo.
If he's leaving a lot of negative feedback, that falls into the category of feedback abuse. Curch, you can report him for that and get the feedback removed. I had a guy do the same thing to me over the winter. Bought something said it got damaged. Wanted something else instead of return, charged him $3 Total for a fig(couple dollars off and free shipping), then he said THAT item was damaged. I looked at his feedback and he was leaving negs for damaged product. Told him he needs to contact his PO if he's getting that much damaged product. Contacted ebay about feedback abuse and had my neg he left me removed. The reason I only accept returns and full refund anymore, no partials.
