GI Joe USS Flagg Aircraft Carrier parts lot ?Complete? - eBay (item 220387596866 end time Mar-31-09 05:01:38 PDT)
Ok, I'll be the first to admit it's in pretty rough shape, and I know it's not the "I-bought-it-at-a-yardsale-for-$10" bargain some people have scored, but I'm still really stoked. Maybe I paid too much, but I know I wasn't ever going to be able to justify spending thousands for a complete unit. With some cleaning, some scavenging of ebay for random parts, and an email to Ruben for new decals, I think this will make a fine addition to the fleet! |

if you like it and it works for you, price isn't an issue. A little TLC and that thing could be minty fresh.

Thats not bad i dont think.Look at how much people pay for terror dromes.I think you got a deal.Did you have to pay $150 for shipping?Cuz that would suck.

If you can get a break on paying $150 to ship it, then that's not too bad of a deal. There are a lot of parts missing, but many of the small parts are not completely necessary, unless you try to finish it to 100%. You can find deals on parts sometimes on ebay, plus here or yojoe.com.
If you've never seen one of them set up in person, you are in for a surprise when you set it up. I knew it was going to be big, but pictures really don't convey how much of a monster the thing is when it's assembled.

Not bad! With a little patience you'll be able to complete that thing. Took me over a year to finally get the last pieces I was missing. Just keep an eye on ebay and don't think you have to "buy it now" on parts you're missing. If you are patient, you can get a good deal on most stuff. I would, however, be prepared to spend another couple of hundred dollars or more on parts.

This is expensive, however it is the flagg and looks to be in outstanding shape.
Nice buy, but lots of moola.

I have no doubt I'll spend plenty getting the important missing pieces. I'm not sure I'll be obsessive about every last part, just the ones that have serious impact on the appearance or playability. I plan for this to be a toy, not a museum piece, so ultra mint complete is not a goal. Just nice looking and fun to play with. By the time I get it all fixed up (read a couple of years) my son might be old enough to be into Joe. Hopefully he'll be able to appreciate it when he's older. He has no idea what a cool father he has |
