I don't even own a Flagg or any big vehicles (that I have with me, my parents have all my stuff in their storage building behind the house still), but I'm already running out of room.
I live in an apartment, and my girlfriend has her own place, but we've been dating for almost 5 years. We're getting to that point, after the market gets back on its feet, where we'll probably get married, but she's wanting to move in together soon.
While I have some slight concerns about living together before marriage, there's the issue of what do we do with our "cross over" belongings like extra couches, etc, but also...
What will become of my nerd things? She tolerates them, but hates seeing them out where people can see them. We'd probably only get a 2-bedroom place, so our "second" bedroom would be a guest room/office, and I doubt I will be able to put my Joes and other nerdy things there.
I have no idea how you can talk her into it, but maybe you can create cabinets to hide them behind it. At worst, have frosted doors or solid doors that hide them, or some method that you could slide back and access them, but hide them for her sake when she wants them put away.
Just an idea, that's what I plan on talking the "not-wife" into.

My wife had no qualms about me having a toy room. My Flagg, t.dome and shuttle complex was in there along with all my other joes , star wars, t.formers and marvel toys. Just remember this; do not spend all your time in that room, she will begin to hold resentment and things will not be so friendly

My wife and I split our spare room, half is my Joe/TF stuff and the other half is her brewing supply storage/fermentation area. We both need more room, but for now it works and we're both happy.
So my advice is...try a compromise.

I am lucky enough to have a fairly large unfinished mechanical room in my basement. I had previously set up a hobby work shop in about 1/4 of it with a large workbench along one wall and the rest has been used for storage. The room had gotten quite messy and disorganized so I seized the opportunity to work in my favor, over my Christmas vacation I bought some of those pre-fab metal shelves by Edsal as well as more wall mounted shelves and cleaned and organized the room. I set up the shelves as 1/2 the usual height, and set up my Flagg, Defiant and Terror drome on top the shelves. Underneath there are 2 shelves for storage of the rest of my collection in boxes along with the family's items in Rubbermaid tubs. Keep in mind I allow my 2.5 year old son to play with the Flagg and some of the other items, but this comes with a price, just the other day he broke off one of my radar antennas. He was the motivation for me digging out my childhood collection, so such incidents are to be expected and tolerated. My wife is pretty cool for the most part with my interests, but she does have limits and I already have the family office filled with Master Replicas items and models, my home office becoming festooned with more of the same and a lot of prop and movie memorabilia in our home theater. She can't really say much about the GI Joe set up, but has commented about my recent 1/18 buying spree...

I am lucky enough to have a Joe room. Although I need more space. I worked a deal out with my wife before we bought the house that I would get a room for my collection. If your wife is not happy with your collecting then rent a climate controled storage unit and set up your stuff that way.

tell her i love her, too. LOL.
I have always dreamed of a large toy room with a plush blue carpet for the Flagg to sail upon...
But i am practical. the moment i have kids, there is no way my Joe-formers room will last unless i buy several Ikea cases and lock them. and there's no way i will taint my joe-formers by putting a cradle and diaper stuff amongst them, LOL.
But down here in the dirty South, we have one advantage: the cost of living is low enough that a house with several rooms is still affordable.
i think if you had a house with several rooms she wouldn't mind a hole in the wall for you and your stuff.
outside of a new house, you need to hire either a lawyer, union rep or mob boss to work out a compromise.
there's a house just off Main Street in an older district of town that has like 5 bedrooms in addition to like 2 living room/sitting rooms, a den...
the family that lives there has some rooms with absolutely nothing in them.
what i could do with that space....
Rest in Peace, Dad.

do you have a garage? put your armies on plywood and winch them up to the ceiling...it's been done before ;)
My wife & I share a spare room, it's kind of a 'Joe room, study/library and random storage. It's enough for me but not toddler safe. Pretty much looks like this:
