I havent had any problems with carded joes. however i started collecting the Bandai Gundam figures on car a few years ago. I was buying them on ebay and at first everything was fine. However the last few lots and figs i purchased arrived destroyed. 1. Three rare figures from a seller whose packer smashed them into boxes that were to small. This was close to an 80 $ purchase. he would only refund me 11$ for shipping. 2. Rare blue leo i picked up for 20$ at the time in the pack they were selling at 40+. seller shipped it across the US in a bubbled mailer. it is creased and smashed bubble. Seller refunded shipping. 3. an 11 figure lot i got for a steal at like 30$. Seller shipped it in a box that was 1/4 in to short and arrived smashed. I think there were to in the pack with out damage. Seller refused refund. This was the first time i left negative feedback. This guy was 100% with over 300+. 4. I bought three loose joes cheaply with expensive shipping. So the figs were about 10$ a piece including shipping. Seller made it sound like he did an awesome job with shipping so i didnt mind paying the 20$ for it. They arrived in a way oversized bubbled mailer that they were sliding around in. No extra protection and it cost less than 2 dollars to send. I waited forever for him to leave feedback so i could neg him but he didnt. Figures were fine. 5. Purchased an AVAC good condition payed 20$ for him and like 5 shipping. he arrived in a bubbled mailer no extra protection. i was pissed but he was ok. the moral of this story is to clarify how figures are going to be shipped before buying. This is different from what happened to you but i would rather find out a figure had pen on it then to have some idiot pack it terribly and know that a mint figure was ruined in the mail.

No problems on described wrong or left out but many issues on delivery. My regular mailman is cool, packages at the back door on a chair....the other dude, different story. I bought some original comic art that was left hanging off my mail box by a rubberband, signed posters crunched to fit mail box ( nice), and if he does bring it to the house it is an easter egg hunt as to where he left it. I had 2 expensive skateboards left behind my grill for a few days before my son said whats behind the grill?
If I think I am selling anything that might not sound the way it should I just try to over describe it. What I think of as mint is dead on mint so if it is opened i say near mint. I also hate the played with description. Just list it as loose joints, missing weapons or paint wear. |

That happened to me once, I've seen pen markouts, x's, even some cut outs. They carefully cut out some of the small photos from the back. Viewing from the front they can appear flawless, gotta check those card backs before you buy.

I'm sorry, dude. It's times like this I'm glad I'm an opener! Can the marks be removed, or are they deep into the card? I know they make stuff for baseball cards to remove gum stains without damaging the card. Maybe something like that would help.

Thanks my man. The marks were made with a ball point pen, even if the ink was removed you would still be able to see that the figures were crossed out.

I don't get what the big deal is. Aren't you going to throw the backing away after you open the figure and cut out the filecard and flag points anyway?
