Oh well I would love to have it in any condition. I just hope you didn't over pay.
I bought a moc 88 Storm Shadow some years back. It came resealed and missing the small red sword. I luckily had the sword and put the 2 together and he's at least complete on a resealed card. Ebay just plain sucks sometimes....... Hell I just paid 8.50 for a resolute B.A.T. on ebay. I feel dirty. :>) |

I've collected other lines, and I have to say Joe sellers are the most unscrupulous by far. I've been ripped off by Joe sellers more than anybody else, significantly so, and it's often something like they conveniently do not mention certain imperfections or misrepresent their items. Some examples:
Ebay "complete" Stinger that was missing the steering wheel, only the hardest part of it to find by itself. Python Patrol Crimson Guard listed and photographed as "complete" but arrived with backpack only, when e-mailed seller, had audacity to say his CAT had been playing with his Joes and must have lost the gun and he didn't realize. No offer of replacement, reimbursement, etc. CG rifles (at that time) loose were rather hard to come by as well. I bought a "Thunder-complete helmet only" from a guy once and read that to mean the Thunder came with the helmet, visor and antenna but not the other accessories. Wrong answer. That meant Thunder the action figure itself was "complete," like a Strato-Viper or Motor Viper is "complete" with no accessories, and it came with "helmet only" meaning the visor and antenna were missing. An ASP that was a stock photo but when arrived had no decals. Was not mentioned anywhere in description it was missing stickers. I have three WOLF ski-torpedos with broken skis. I've been trying to get one with an unbroken ski FOREVER. The last time I tried, the photo was a stock photo of an unbroken ski one. I even e-mailed the seller and asked him specifically if the ski was broken and he said no. So I bought it and when it arrives: Guess what? I e-mailed him back and he swears it was not broken. A V1 Viper "complete" that came with Gung-Ho's backpack (ironically the same one that was used for the TRU Viper Pit Vipers...this was before their time). A Zanzibar and Air Skiff listed and photographed not only as complete but minty mint, and I paid a comparatively high price for it because I wanted to get them both in one fell swoop, only to arrive missing some parts. Fortunately that was cheap and easy to augment. A "C9" V1 Airborne complete that taught me that to some people, C9 means heavy paint wear, yellowing and loose joints. A "C9" Outback with no accessories that was basically C9, except his crotch was neatly broken off (no mention of this in the description). I have this thing about crotchless ARAH Joes. No, no and no. Admittedly these are all, for the most part, small investments of money. And I'm sure most of you have even worse stories and have lost a lot more money. This just seems to happen a lot more often with Joe sellers than anyone else. I've only been ripped off by a Star Wars seller one time and that may have been because I was moving at the time we did a trade and my stuff got lost in the shuffle. Then again, it may have been because his handle was something like SMKTRZEVRYDAY and he may have just forgotten about it. I thought about him when the guy said he did a trade and his item arrived in a bag scented of cannabis. Last edited by Barefoot Jedi; 03-13-2009 at 12:00 AM.. |

Actually, a marker would be easier to remove.
I feel your pain... though. That would irk me to no end. But at least he will display well on a wall. I've bought comics online before and they always forget to mention stuff like the cover is no longer attached to the book, or that all the puzzles and checklists have been filled out with crayon. Ugh! No, all they say is "bagged and boarded in near mint condition." Last edited by Xerofall; 03-13-2009 at 12:16 AM.. |

The guy must have been stoned when he/she/it packed the lot. Off-putting to say the least. In the lot the guy claimed the figures came from a "smoke fee home"... I wonder somtimes. |

That bites. I'm a stickler for that sort of thing.
A little part of me died today.
