What is the best way to store your Joes? I've seen some of those clear blister cases but not sure where to buy them or if this is the best way to do it? How do you guys store them?

I store my carded figures by two methods.
#1 in large packing boxes from U-Haul that are probably for packing electronic equipment. The cards are packed upright and bubbles touch. Packing paper is put below them and above them. #2 buy the blister cases. The Joe Club sells them that fit the modern cards (too big for smaller cards like the dollar general figures and too small for some older stuff like Ninja Force). Years ago I bought a couple hundred from an online store called wholesale cases, I think and still use them. They are deeper (probably intended for SW figures that had big bubbles) so they are less space efficient. I have not looked lately to see if they carry a shallower bubble. I will probably buy a bunch from the CLub at Joe Con. Vehicles get disassembled of any loose parts or parts that could break then are wrapped in packing paper and bubble wrap. They are packed into rubbermaid containers (I don't like the plastic bins, they break too often for me) so they do not move, shift or rattle together. An inventory list is made on the PC and a paper copy is put inside the lid. Each container is numbered so if I need to pull somethign out, the master packing list will show me which container to look in. |

Comic Long Boxes work well for card figures.
All my carded figures are in blister cases - I picked up a few cases when they were on sale at the club store and HTS several years ago. Also there are star cases that fit the modern (ROC/POC/RET) cards perfectly. I'll go home and look to see what number they are. Some I display, the others are put in the long boxes and stored until rotated out. Vehicles are in acid-free bags and then stored in clear plastic totes. I also sort these by year when I can. Lastly I have a spreadsheet I use to keep inventory of everythying I own and update it as soon as I pick up new items. It was alot of work when I first had to catalog everything, but now it helps me keep track of what I have, what I need, what are duplicates I can trade/sell, etc... |

hey curch, do you have more specific pics of your storage method. i like the looks of how you keep yours. i worry about damage to my figs...paint scuffs and whatnot. i don't like to display my stuff really...i'm more of a keep it packed away and take them out every so often and marvel at what i have. but i'm not pleased with my current methods of storing figures.

I have 2 loose sets. My first set I have in the original collector cases(still need some more as I have all my 90s figs in the same cases as curch and would like it all uniform). My second set is on display with all my vehicles.

The largest tuff Rainer 14x9 from flambeau is perfect. I got mine for 4.50 at bass pro shop in store. They fit 12 to 24 figures depending on doubling up and accessories.

I have a bunch of tackle boxes like that too. They work great for loose figures.
My vintage, most of 'em, are keep in a fishing tackle bag I picked up. It holds 5 or 6 of the individual boxes in the bag. Makes for easy storage and moving.
