So yeah, the coloring of the weapons and the spring-loaded weapons are pretty bad, but that's what Marauder's is for.
The figures themselves, some of them were actually pretty good. I'm going thru YoJoe compiling my wishlist of vintage figures that I want and I'm surprised at how many from those years that I'm actually liking and wanting to get. The accessories, colors and size, suck, but the figures themselves (for the most part) actually aren't that bad. Some are bad (Cross Country, Beachhead). The Roadblock from '92 is actually very cool. I like that version alot. The Bazooka from '93 is cool. Accessories don't make the figure, as long as the figure looks good you can put any accessories you want. Im old enough to remember these on the pegs in cases of 44 or was it 96 or something.... either way.... they are 'vintage' now :( |

There are some really good figures from the Battlecorps years. Those years and the 2-3 years before were when I was right in the thick of G.I. Joe. Roadblock and Beachhead are some of faves, even though I don't even have that Roadblock yet. I liked some of the Viper teams too.

I liked the Battle Corps years, truth be told.
That was when I was also in the thick of playing with Joes as a kid, and many of those versions stick out with me most. |

I think that was their intention, but the colors on the BC version were brighter. The 89 Version is one of my favorite Cobra figures, and if they'd matched the colors I think opinion would be different.

Some I really like:
Cross Country, Bazooka, CC, Roadblock (both colors), Alley Viper (yellow/black), Interrogator, Headman along with all his Headhunters/stormtroopers, DEF Shockwave, Slice (red), Dice, Nunchuck, Blackstar, Spaceshot, and Duke (BC desert uniform). If you are talking about the orange/blue Alley Viper, there were 2 versions, one with stripes like the black/yellow one. They later removed the stripes and at least in my area, the one with stripes was far more difficult to find (I picked mine up in Mexico actually) Last edited by Dem_Yoe'z!; 06-06-2012 at 12:53 PM.. |

I really like a lot of the battle corps figures. The accessories for the most part were horrible, especially when they came on the parts tree that they used for ever figure. I always preferred the uniqueness of each figure having his own gun. It was part of their identity.

Totally agree. The colors are bad, but the sculpts are amazing.
