That was indeed me. It seemed like a fair price for a real one, considering the questionable bagged ones are bringing $150-200.
Prior to the bagged ones showing up, these were selling for $600-800 easily.....worst case is, the bagged ones turn out to be fake, and authentic ones only hold their value if proper provenance can be provided. Best case is, the bagged ones turn out to be real (preproduction? overstock?) and prices on ALL UK CGI variants go back up. Either way, I'm comfortable with the deal I got.

Oh I didn't look close enough. If its only one then that price is totally ridiculous. Anybody know about the UK 3 pack he has listed. I have never seen it before.

The three pack was a UK Woolworths exclusive. There were several different combinations of characters - not sure how many though. I know of at least five. I have two sets, including one that's the same as the one up now. I'm watching it just to see what it sells for....Ice seen them run from $150 to $300.

that's not too crazy, considering it's as rare as things like the red stalker. I think he'd accept a reasonable best offer

The UK Woolworth 3-pack that is up should probably go under $150.00 as there was an identical one up with a Buy it Now for about that much last week. It sold for about $130-$150 if I remember correctly.

And no Justin, it is NOT nearly as rare as the Red Stalker. The purple Ripper is in the 2nd or 3rd tier for Rare Funskools and I'd imagine it is worth around $1000.00-$1500.00 packaged. The Red Stalker would run you another grand or so easy if one were to surface. To my knowledge only 4-5 Red Stalkers exist in collections. Compared to the Ripper which I've personally owned over 5 of them in my life.
Either way it is a great chance for someone to own one of the nicest Funskool pieces out there. |
