Anyone have any tips on how to secure large vehicles like XF-14s and Night Ravens to hang from the ceiling? I remember as a kid I attempted to do this with several of my 1/48 scale testor airplane models and they always seemed to fall down or break the fishing line I used to hang em with.
I don't wanna be impailled by my Skytriker in the middle of the night... Last edited by CrimsonGuard101; 01-24-2009 at 05:22 PM.. |

I use hook screws, like you would for plants you want to hang. That and dental floss

Well if I get properly weighted fishing string (like stuff to cacth a 20lbs bass! LOL) that shoul dnot be an issue, I am more conearned about the ceiling itself, Thats a good idea to use the plant hanging ones, but how well do they mount into the ceiling?

ceiling joist are either 16 inches or 24 inches apart depending on how old your house is, so besure to hit studs or the screws will just pull threw

I use the little brass "j" hooks, and 15 lb test line. Never had a problem.
Skystriker, conquest, Crimson command copter, etc.
