That is strange that its always those figures and not others that are found. I personally still have yet to find the Dreadnoks and Firefly. Very nice score my friend! What items did you pass up on due to lack of funds if you don't mind me asking, can always pm me if you don't want it known.

Never even seen these before! The beauty of GI JOE is that of a onion with layers and layers of interesting things to purchase.

Wow! Many Joe collectors don't even know what a Nilco figure is, most don't own one. You own 7 carded Nilcos, that is impressive. Great find!

All of that made joes what they are today. The thrill of the hunt, tracking them down, finding that one figure after month's, mostly years, of searching. For me, that's what it's all about. Got lucky now with 7 of them, but even finding 1 is a hell of a task. Don't see the fun in running from store to store to get the latest new figures. |

Not sure anyone will see this (will start a new thread if no one does), looks like the last activity on this thread was years ago. So when I went to Egypt in the 90's, I couldn't believe that I found what looked like original GI Joe toys...I think I found them as they were on their way out. Here's some pics of the Nilco Battle Armor S.N.A.K.E. The plastic bag is still factor sealed, if anyone actually see's the thread I'll post pics up of the rest.
I also have Snake Eyes (Black Outfit), Baroness, Iceberg, Lady Jaye and Beach Head (Green Outfit). So the thing is, when I bought these in Cairo, there were also some UK Hasbro GI Joe's on the shelf. Being a huge collector of Batman Animated Series back then it made me wonder how these were arriving, mix of Hasbro/Nilco or what???...Yes, I'm looking to move these. It was great to find info on Nilco on the net finally after having these for over 20 years.... |
