Defiant/Crusader umbilical cord variation

Hi everyone. I have a question regarding the umbilical hose on both shuttles. I have a defiant with the original white plastic coated wire, I now also have 2 Crusaders, boxed. 1 is from the US and has come with an identical umbilical to the Defiant, the other is the European version which has come (still sealed) with a similar piece but this one has a white plastic cap on each end that plugs into payloads pack. Was there a known variation or has the US version come with the wrong one?

I just realized there's an oldish thread on yoJoe that was answered by airedevon. The version with the ends caps is exclusive to the euro version.

Has anyone bought that repo version on ebay for $20 bucks. If so what do you think of it?
