Getting Serious.....starting the run!

Well I decided today that i am going to set out to do something that i have been thinking about for 10 years and have never been able to commit to.
I am going to build a complete MOC collection of the 1982-1987 joes.
Figures are all I am really thinking about doing as the vehicles never were that important to me. I may get a few just to say i have them, but i'm not going to go all out and build a defiant or anything!

The reason I am going with this era of Joes is due to its sentimentality to me. I grew up in a pretty bad familial situation and GI Joe and, to a lesser degree Transformers, was a bit of an escape for me. Some of the best memories of my life are of when things would get bad at home, my grandfather or grandmother would take me out and spend the day with me, ultimately culminating in going to the store and spending the $3 or so to get me a new Joe.

Wish me luck in my quest and if any of you fellow boardies has any of what i am looking for, then feel free to contact me and we can begin advanced negotiation!

This sounds likea fun task. If I had the money, I still probably wouldn't do it. But I think it would be fun, if for nothing else, the challenge behind it.

Dude, I mean no disrespect to your initiative, but you'll get better chances of completing MoC Joes with the 25th Anniv and PoC line...but hey it's your money. The best of luck bro.

..you are comparing a '69 Camaro (ARAH) with a Kia Spectra (25th, PoC)..

I agree, but the Kia costs a lot less.
